LOOPS

Intersection, 01:00′ 2017

Narcissus falls in love with himself, as a punishment from the gods. He is drowned when
he tries to embrace his image on water. If Narcissus reciprocated Echo’s love,
would the symmetry of death be a salvation for both of them?

Cycle of Life, 01:23′ 2018

We all live in different vicious cycles; some find this cycle enjoyable whereas for many, it
leads to the darkness. Some of us escape from ourselves but the many of us
always have to face ourselves.
What if there would be a way to escape from ourselves?

Stages, 00:57′ 2019

Intercourse, segregation, unification, seperation, dissention… All about life in square stages.

Working Class Heroes, 00:57′ 2019

This loop makes a reference to La Classe Operaia va in Paradiso, which received the best motion picture award
at the Cannes Film Festival in 1971.  The loop includes the images of ants
living near the San Ramon Falls, on the Omatepe island, Nicaragua. In
these distorted images, loaded down ants were presented with industrial sounds.

The Thing, 01:18′ 2020

The instrument in this loop is called theremin, which was invented by Leon
Theremin. Theremin also developed a bug for recording. Young Soviet pioneers
delivered this device to the US Embassy in Moscow in 1945 to honor the
US-Soviet alliance during World War II. This device remained in the embassy
until 1952, when US authorities finally discovered that it was a bug. They
named it ‘the thing.’
